September 23, 2008

I have many favorite dishs and desert.Like chocolate, potato chips and scrambled eggs with tomatos.Maybe someone will ask me why I like to eat potatos chips which is the junk food that haven’t any nutrition. In fact,in my opinion, they taste lovely and very well.Despite the fact that they haven’t any nutrition, but I can’t listen anyone to say that “Oh my god!!It’s too bad to eat them!!”So,I want to show that no one love them because of that they have no nutrition, but everyone love them because of their lovely flavour.

Snow Ball Fights

When I was young,I often play Snow Ball Fights with my friends in winter. We made "bullet" out of snow to hit each others.
We would go to a place to avoid being found by each others at the beginning of the battle. Then,we would rally some snow to the ball and correct those balls together. After a while, fighting!!We used the snow-balls to hit others in heavy power. If your snow-balls are too heavy and large. You should better not to use them to hit others'head.
The game is funny and no one will be hurt.As an old saying goes:All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So,someone who wants to assure a success in the future must enjoy a funny childhood.

I was as excited as every Chinese people, wanting to go to Beijing to see the Olympic Games.

August 13, 2008

I was as excited as every Chinese people, wanting to go to Beijing to see the Olympic Games.
Seven years ago, I was working in the Youbang Company. On the day of Beijing succeeding in the Olympic election, I was as excited as every Chinese people, wanting to go to Beijing to see the Olympic Games. Some colleagues were also joked saying the same words. I once regarded it one of my aims to chase after.
Now how time flies, seven years passed, so quickly! But the goal was failed to achieve. In some aspects, I am still the one seven years age, while in some others, I change a lot. Sometimes I have to think of time is really a queer thing, like moving water in the river, but can not go back or forward. Now what I most want to know is that where the hell time river take me to.
I hope that some day, such my goals can always become true. I still hope the 2008 Olympic Games would be held great successfully.
Now there are just four hours left from the starting ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Online networks may help job-hunting: surveys

June 21, 2008

Job seekers should tap into online networking sites to help hunt down potential employers, new surveys suggest.

The polls, conducted in Canada and the United States on behalf of California-based recruitment firm Robert Half International, showed that most executives believe that professional networking sites will prove useful over the next three years for job seekers.

"Networking sites can be used to identify new career opportunities, create online profiles that highlight one's skills and experience and build a roster of business contacts over time," Max Messmer, chairman and chief executive of RHI and author of "Job Hunting for Dummies," said in a statement.

Of 100 senior Canadian executives interviewed, 67 percent said they thought professional networking sites — such as LinkedIn — were useful for recruiting new employees, and 25 percent said they thought social networking sites like Facebook would be useful.

Executives were asked: "Which of the following technology tools do you believe will be most useful in your firm's recruiting efforts in the next three years?"

In the U.S., 150 senior executives asked the same question by RHI last week showed similar results. Of those polled, 62 percent said professional networking sites were useful for recruiting new employees, and 35 percent said social networking sites were useful.

Although online networking can play a role in helping people to find work, Messmer said job seekers should continue to use traditional job-hunting methods.

"Tried and true methods, such as networking at industry events, submitting well-written resumes and cover letters, and diligently following up with hiring managers are still essential to landing the ideal job," Messmer said.

RHI provided five suggestions for benefiting from online networking:

* Craft your profile carefully

* Ask for recommendations

* Build your list of contacts

* Don't post anything you wouldn't want an employer to see

* Don't stop networking once you have a job

Yuelu Academy

April 21, 2008

Today we will go and visit the Yuelu Academy! Yuelu Academy is one of the four famous academies in China, and it was established by Zhudong, magistrate of Tanzhou prefecture in 976A.D at the time of Northern Song Dynasty. The academy accepted disciples throughout the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was only in 1903 that the academy was transformed from a school of traditional Confucian learning to an institute of higher learning and in 1926 it was officially named Hunan University.

Early in 1015, Emperor Zhen Zong of the Song Dynasty awarded the academy hid Majesty's own handwriting Yuelu Academy on a tablet. Form then on many famous scholars and great thinkers gave lectures here, among them were Zhangshi, Zhuxi and WangYangming, thus making a great impact on the province's culture and education. Most of the existing buildings here were constructions of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the bulk of the engraved stone plates and inscribed tablets have all been kept intact, In 1956 the academy was listed as a historical site at the provincial level and later, in 1988 it became a historical site at the state level. The last restoration project started in 1981 and the major part was completed in 1987.

Now, here we are at the He Xi Platform, He Xi means the the splendour of the sunrise, It was named by Zhuxi, a great idealist philosopher of the Confucian school during the Song Dynasty, The platform was first built on the top of Yuelu hill, by Zhanshi, and later in 1528, a pavilion was built on it, But it became deserted with the passing time. In 1790 Luodian, the master of the academy, built a platform at the present site, In 1820, the succeeding master, Ouyang Houjun, renamed it He Xi Platform in order to memory Zhuxi and Zhanshi. It was restored in 1868.

On the inner walls of the platform are two big Chinese characters Fu and Shuo, which mean blessing and longevity respectively. Legend has it that the Character Shuo was written with a broom soaked in yellow mud by a Taoist master at the time Master Luodian was attending a banquet in honour of the examination officials and those dispels who had passed the civil exam Hence it has been regarded as having celestial touch The character Fu was written by Luodian, the master himself.

This gate in front of us is the Main Gate, the gate was formerly built at the time of the Song Dynasty, and was then called Central Gate. The main gate underwent both destruction and reconstruction in the course of time. The present structure was once thoroughly renovated in 1868.

The characters Yuelu Academy on the horizontal tablet were inscribed by Emperor Zhen Zong of the Song Dynasty. It was presented as an award to Zhoushi, the master of the academy, when he was summoned to the emperor's presence. On both door posts are couplets which read The kingdom of Chu, unique home of the talents, The Academy of Yuelu, the very cradle of all . It was composed in the Qing Dynasty by the master of the academy, Yuan Jiangang and his disciple Zhang Renjie. This gate was the Second Gate, It was first built in 1527 during the Ming Dynasty. It underwent repairs and restoration many times .It was completely devastated during the Anti-Japanese War .In 1984, the gate was restored to its former state.

This is the Lecture Hall, where the students had lessons here, it was first built at the time of the Song Dynasty and was once named Jing Yi Hall. Now, it has a more elaborate name The Hall of the Loyalty, Liability, Honesty and Integrity, because on the inner walls of the hall are engraved four big Chinese Characters: loyalty, Liability, honesty and integrity. They were handwriting by the great scholar, Zhuxi, who once lectured here. Others, such as the School Regulations, the Administrations and Way to Read were masterpieces of the masters of the academy. On the two horizontal tablets hanging on top were written:

Learn before you can probe the infiniteness of the universe.

The doctrines taught here in the south are genuine Confucian doctrines.

They were inscribed by the emperor Kangxi and Qianlong respectively during the Qing Dynasty.

The building in front of us is the Yushu Library, yushu literally means imperial books, so Yushu Library, built in 999A.D in the early Song Dynasty, was a place to keep imperial books. Books were continuously sent here during the succeeding dynasties. The library was first named Classics Treasuring House in the Song Dynasty, Classic Venerating House in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and finally Yushu Library in the Qing Dynasty. It had been repaired and expanded many times, and now it has a collection of over twenty thousand Chinese classics. This building was rebuilt on its original site in 1986.

The two small pavilions Xi Quan and Ni Lan, built during the Song and Ming Dynasties, were restored to the right and left of the compound galleries in order to display cultural relics.

Tips on how to keep that cold at bay

January 14, 2008

It's winter and as you have probably noticed, germs are everywhere — runny noses, sore throats, nothing quite like the common cold to make you feel miserable. (wow gold)

But experts believe that there is no link between cold weather and catching colds. So why are we particularly vulnerable this season?

Internal Medicine expert, Dr Meenakshi Jain of Max Hospital says, "One reason could be because people are likely to stay indoors, so the virus can spread easily. Also the virus thrives in humidity."

The common cold is a viral infection that can be caused by any of up to 250 strains of virus, the most common group of which are the rhinoviruses that hit the nose.

They are responsible for anywhere between a third and half of all common colds.

"They are transmitted through the nose and respiratory passages, by touch, and by contact with airborne particles that are created by sneezing or coughing," says Dr Jain.

There is no cure for the common cold and antibiotics are of no help. However, there are some precautions which can help:

Wash your hands regularly, so that germs get killed.

Don't touch your eyes, nose and mouth, which can limit your chances of infection.

Don't share drinking glasses or utensils with anyone as this will prevent the spread of the virus.

Drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.

Make sure to eat enough fruits to boost your immune system.

Get enough sleep and you'll certainly become stronger.

Airbus Signs $26.7 Billion in Orders

December 5, 2007

BEIJING, Nov. 26 — Aircraft maker Airbus and French nuclear company Areva signed orders worth a combined $26.7 billion here today, in deals that underline the growing value of China as a market for European technology despite mounting tension between Europe and China over trade.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing today after Airbus and the nuclear company Areva signed orders worth $26.7 billion.

The deals, signed while French President Nicolas Sarkozy was on the second day of a three-day visit to China, come as the European Union steps up pressure on Beijing to curb China’s soaring trade surplus with Europe.
European Union monetary officials, including European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet, were expected to press China to allow faster appreciation of its currency, the yuan, when they arrive in Beijing Tuesday for two days of talks with their Chinese counterparts, European officials said.
European trade officials accuse Beijing of keeping the yuan undervalued to boost exports. China’s trade surplus widened 50 per cent to $13.9 billion in October compared with the same month last year, according to official Chinese statistics.
The European Union estimates China’s trade surplus is on track to reach $252 billion this year, a 30 per cent increase on the figure for 2006.
In a visit that has been dominated by trade, Mr. Sarkozy today called for fairness in the value of the world’s major currencies.
“A great country must have a strong currency," he told French and Chinese business leaders in a speech, the Associated Press reported.
“China has an important role to play, in consultation with the other players, in not letting the imbalances accumulate to a point where we won’t know how to get rid of them.”
Trade friction is also expected to top the agenda at a summit between the European Union and China summit in the Chinese capital Wednesday, with European leaders signaling they will urge Beijing to do more to open Chinese markets to foreign goods and services.
The European Union trade commissioner, Peter Mandelson, has warned Beijing that it needs to make progress on lifting investment and trade barriers and protect intellectual property or face tough measures from Brussels.
In remarks that drew a rebuke from Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi, Mr. Mandelson also attacked China’s product safety record today in a speech at an international food safety forum in Beijing.
Airbus said it had signed orders to deliver 160 passenger aircraft worth about $14.8 billion to Chinese airlines.
The world’s biggest commercial aircraft maker said it would supply 110 of its A320 passenger jets and 50 of its larger A330 models in a deal that aviation experts say is a timely boost after costly delays in Airbus’s A380 superjumbo and a falling United States dollar have hurt the performance of its parent company.
Airbus has so far won orders this year to deliver a record 1,340 aircraft, easily exceeding the previous high of 1,111 in 2005, according to industry analysts citing recent briefings with senior Airbus executives.
Airbus rival Boeing has also secured record orders this year. “This is a remarkable golden era for aircraft sales,” said Martin Craigs, Hong Kong-based president of aviation industry lobby group, Aerospace Forum Asia. “With this deal, Airbus has won orders for almost three times as many aircraft this year as they are going to build.”
Airbus is now closing on its goal of matching Boeing's sales in China, the world’s second biggest market for commercial passenger aircraft behind the United States.
Airbus, based in Toulouse, France, earlier this year signed an agreement to assemble aircraft from 2011 at a new facility in the Chinese port city of Tianjin.
In what it said was the French nuclear industry's biggest commercial contract, Areva signed deals worth $11.9 billion today to supply two reactors, technology and uranium to China, as the world’s fastest growing major economy strives to reduce its dependence on heavily polluting coal.
The company said it would build two of its third generation, EPR reactors at Taishan in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong under a contract with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation. And, the Chinese company had agreed to buy 35 per cent of the production of Areva’s uranium mining subsidiary, UraMin, which plans to source the nuclear fuel from its three mines in Africa, Areva executives said.
France and China could also become long-term partners in nuclear fuel processing after Areva signed an agreement today with the China National Nuclear Corporation, to begin a feasibility study into building a spent fuel reprocessing plant in China.
"For us, it looks very promising for the future," Areva chief executive Anne Lauvergeon said at a news conference in Beijing.
"Areva in this fashion, with its partners, continues its presence in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.”
China has become a key market for the world’s top nuclear reactor builders. Areva, Westinghouse, a unit of Japan’s Toshiba Corp., and Russia’s AtomStroyExport are competing for orders at a time when China is planning to spend $60 billion on new reactors by 2020, according to reports in the official media.
Westinghouse won a $5.3 billion order to build four reactors in July.

I’m looking up high

Higher than the moon

Where dreams take a free flight.

A forgetful yesterday,

Burying my sorrow,

Kiss Goodbye

 Baby, no more crying
over this familiar sight
With your hand in mine, how can we bring ourselves to part?
Each time  about to open my mouth, I give way to silence.
Allow me to concentrate for a minute
to treat myself to your beauty.
Happiness has to go with sadness;
Pain crisscrosses over my heart.
Tears of frustration can’t weigh up a love.
When a love is gone it never turns around.
What I owed I am unable to pay back.
But just don’t take my heart away.
Each time I parted with you
I suffered a heavy defeat.
Each time I let go of you
The pain never comes to pass.
kiss you Goodbye
Each time I kissed you goodbye,
I came to realize the taste of love.
